I remember loving taking photos as a child and there always being a camera around. This is one of those hobbies—and it is a hobby—that faded away for a long time but has taken hold again in later life. After buying a decent digital camera a few years ago I quickly made the transition to analogue photography and rarely shoot digital anymore. It’s a useful tool that gets picked up when needed but not my preference.

I love street photography, everyday moments both extraordinary and yet happening everywhere almost constantly. People interest me, connections, emotions, silliness. Light and texture and tone mystify me.

I told myself at the start of 2026 that I’m going to “do something with my photos”… So here we are.
